2-Factor Authentication
Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds a second layer of security to your account. With 2FA enabled, signing in requires both your password and a verification code sent to your registered email.
Even if someone learns your password, they cannot log into your account without access to your inbox.
We strongly recommend enabling 2FA before you deposit any funds.
How 2FA Works on GE-AS
GE-AS uses email-based 2FA:
- You enter your email and password on the login page.
- The platform sends a verification code to your registered email.
- You open your inbox, copy the code, and enter it on the verification page.
- You are signed in.
You will see the verification page on every login while 2FA is enabled.
Enable 2FA
- Open the side menu and click 2-Factor Auth.
- You will see the Verify Two Factor Authentication page.
- Click Enable Two Factor Authentication.
That is it. The next time you log in, you will be prompted for a verification code.
Logging In with 2FA
- Enter your email and password on the login page.
- You are taken to the Two Factor Verification page. A code has been sent to your registered email.
- Open your inbox and find the message from GE-AS containing your code.
- Copy the code and paste it into the Enter Verification Token field.
- Click Confirm.
You are now signed in.
If the Code Does Not Arrive
Email delivery can occasionally be delayed by your provider.
- Check your spam or junk folder.
- Wait 30 to 60 seconds.
- If the code still has not arrived, click Resend Code on the verification page.
- If it still does not arrive after a second attempt, contact support.
The most common cause is the verification email being filtered as spam. Add the GE-AS sender address to your contacts to prevent this in future.
If You Lose Access to Your Email
Your email is the key to your account. If you lose access:
- Recover your email account first through your provider (Gmail, Outlook, etc.). This is almost always the fastest path.
- If you cannot recover it, contact GE-AS support. You will need to verify your identity using the same documents you submitted for KYC.
For this reason, make sure the email on your GE-AS account is one you control long-term. Avoid using temporary, work, or shared email addresses.
Disable 2FA
If you need to disable 2FA:
- Open the side menu and click 2-Factor Auth.
- Click Disable Two Factor Authentication.
Keep 2FA On
We do not recommend disabling 2FA. Once it is off, your account is protected by your password alone, which is much weaker than password plus a one-time email code.
Tips
- Use a strong, unique password on your email account. If your email is compromised, your GE-AS 2FA is too.
- Add the GE-AS sender to your contacts. This stops verification emails from going to spam.
- Never share codes. No GE-AS staff member will ever ask for your 2FA code. Anyone asking is trying to steal your account.
